Founder Patron
“His vision was service through education, not profit through institutions.”
A tribute to Dr. Ashok Gupta — the visionary educationist who founded IIS Jaipur.

“A Heritage of Vision, A Legacy of Innovation”
Dr. Ashok Gupta, the Founder Patron of India International School, believed that education is the noblest form of service. For him, an institution was never a business — it was a promise to society. Every classroom he built, every opportunity he created, was driven by a single conviction: that a child empowered with knowledge and values could transform not just their own life, but the world around them.
The foundation of IIS was laid on July 16, 1990, under his visionary leadership. As the Founder Chancellor of IIS University, his contributions spanned institutions and organizations worldwide — serving as a member of the European Council of International Schools (U.K.), the Academy of Management (New York), and as Regional Representative of ISA for India & South East Asia.
Under his stewardship, IIS grew into a family of over 3,000 students, housed in an iconic oval-shaped campus recognized as the “Best Architectural Design in Rajasthan” in 2008. Yet, beyond buildings and accolades, his true legacy lives in the countless IISians who carry forward his belief that education must awaken curiosity, build character and serve humanity.
